【About CQ】
The Tokyo shoegaze group CQ is celebrating their 10th anniversary, and will be making a comeback with their first overseas tour “CQ Farewell to a Wonderful World Asia Tour 2024” debuting in Hong Kong!

CQ was formed in 2014 by the three core members of Tokyo Shoegazer – drummer Susubuchi Hiroshi, guitarist Sugawara Yoshitaka, and guitarist Watanabe Kiomi, together with the vocalist Shibuya Jun (honeydip). The band expanded on the shoegaze foundation with more lively and varied musical styles, experimenting with more fluid textures, adding new colours to the Tokyo underground music scene.

In the last ten years, CQ has released multiple works, many available only at their live performances, and has long become a rarity. To mark their 10th anniversary, the band will reissue these two classic works – their debut album “What a Wonderful World’s End” and the only album available on streaming platforms “Communication, Cultural, Curiosity Quotient”, which has reached over 2 million streams. The band will embark on their first Asian tour this October, and playing their first overseas show in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong shoegaze icon Lucid Express, also celebrating 10 years since forming, will also be performing at this show. The band has recently toured Europe and America, and this will be their long-awaited return to their home stage in Hong Kong!
