【About Tokyo Shoegazer】

Tokyo Shoegazer, the legendary shoegaze band originating from Tokyo. Their unique music style combines elements of shoegaze and post-rock, characterized by a three-guitar arrangement. The ethereal female vocals add a psychedelic texture, while the iconic cat cover of their debut album “Crystallize” has solidified its status as a classic among shoegaze enthusiasts.

After a six-year hiatus, Tokyo Shoegazer made a triumphant return in 2019. The current lineup features three founding members drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi, guitarist Sugahara Yoshitaka, and guitarist Watanabe Kiyomi. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the band persevered, diligently creating new works such as “Moonworld Playground (月世界游泳)” “Gyoninzaka in the Four Seasons (四季の行人坂)” and a remastered version of their “1st Demo”. To cap off last year, they also performed for the first time in Thailand at the prestigious “MAHO RASOP FESTIVAL.”

Now, Tokyo Shoegazer is set to make their highly anticipated return to Hong Kong for a performance, marking their first appearance since 2020. Prepare to be immersed in the intoxicating energy and atmosphere reminiscent of Tokyo as they once again grace the night in Hong Kong.
